Carl J. Skaja, Esq.

With an understanding of the practical needs of his clients, Carl J. Skaja’s extensive litigation and transactional experience have earned him a reputation of excellence throughout Southern California. Carl has earned the respect of both his clients and opposing counsel by skillfully managing his clients’ matters with a results-oriented approach.

His case management, mediation, arbitration, trial and transactional skills provide his clients with valuable insight geared toward the most efficient and cost-effective resolution of both litigation and transactional matters. Carl represents a wide variety of clients including, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, landlords, retail business owners, realtors, brokers and many other small to medium sized businesses with all of their legal needs.

Carl believes in being active in his community by volunteering and giving back whenever possible. He is both a past president of the Escondido Rotary Club and Assistant Governor for Rotary District 5340. He is a past chairman of the Board of the Escondido Chamber of Commerce. Carl served as chairman of Palomar Family YMCA Board of Directors for three years. His civic activities include serving as Campaign Chairman of the Public Safety Improvement Facilities Bond, passed by voters in 2004, to construct a new Escondido police and fire headquarters and three new fire stations in Escondido. Carl then served as chairman of the Oversight committee to make sure the facilities were built on-time and on-budget.

Carl has been honored as the Business Leader of the Year by the Escondido Chamber of Commerce and is the recipient of the Public Safety Award by the City of Escondido.

Born and raised in Escondido, CA. Carl attended California Western School of Law after graduating magna cum laude from Northern Arizona University. He has been a named partner of his own law firms since 1998.

Robert M. Daniels, Esq.

Robert Daniels practices litigation in business, real estate and family law. Over the past 14 years, Robert’s trial experience includes claims involving international trade secret misappropriation, real estate fraud, bankruptcy fraud, construction disputes, shareholder disputes. inter-family embezzlement, and professional negligence.  This breadth of experience allows him to achieve lasting, long-term solutions in a wide variety of legal matters.

 

Robert is a past president of the North County Bar Association and has served on the board of directors for numerous organizations, including the San Diego Autism Society, Rotary Club of Escondido, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego. He served as a member of the downtown San Diego Centre City Advisory Committee and the Escondido Public Art Commission.

 

After graduating with distinction from San Diego State University, Robert earned a law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, during which time he studied in Spain, Italy and England. He completed a clerkship at the Paris, France office of Ernst & Young. He has been a founding member of this law firm since 2007. 

 

Robert lives in San Elijo Hills with his wife, son and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, mountain biking and camping.

Han Huynh Hershman, Esq.

Han has been a practicing attorney since 2002. She was a prosecutor for 20 years with the City of San Diego. Her current areas of practice include, but are not limited to: Criminal Defense, Family Law, and Immigration Law.

 

Han graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2002. Her undergraduate was at University of California San Diego with a degree in psychology. She was a San Diego Police Cadet prior to deciding to go to law school to become a prosecutor. In addition to being a member of the State Bar of California, she is also a member of the San Diego County Bar Association. She is a volunteer attorney for California Western School of Law’s Community Law Project.

 

When not practicing law, Han enjoys her life in Florida with her husband Carl, daughter Faith, and Stimpy the dog. She loves watching romantic Asian dramas, going on food tours, and just spending time with her family.


Tri M. Luu, Esq.

Tri is a civil litigation and trial specialist, with a primary focus on personal injury, business, and employment litigation. Additionally, Tri’s litigation experience extends to construction litigation, real estate litigation, family law, and business transactions. An immigrant from Vietnam who is fluent in Vietnamese, Tri’s practice has a heavy focus on serving the Vietnamese community’s legal needs in San Diego, where he strives to provide zealous and ethical representation to clients who may otherwise have nowhere to turn due to financial or cultural barriers. An advocate for the Vietnamese community, Tri additionally volunteers at the community law project’s Rosa Parks branch, which provides free legal services to under-privileged Vietnamese clients in the area.

Tri graduated from California Western School of law on the dean’s list in 2020, and was sworn into the State Bar of California by Judge Trentacosta in May, 2021. During law school, Tri clerked for Judge Timothy Taylor, and worked as a legal clerk for the San Diego City Attorney’s office in the General Trial Unit. During his time with the City Attorney, Tri second chaired three jury trials, and appeared in court for dozens of cases on behalf of the City of San Diego. Additionally, Tri holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management from National University, with a particular in-depth working knowledge in business finance. Together with a fellow law-school colleague, Tri founded and is currently the COO of a tech startup where he helped secure and negotiate for over $200,000 in investor funding for the project.

In his off-time, Tri is a new father who enjoys spoiling his daughter and spending time with his family. While Tri enjoys snowboarding, airsofting, and football, he is just as likely to be found on his computer pouring over investments, stocks, and cryptocurrencies.

Dominic V. Claudio, Esq.

Dominic V. Claudio, Esq. is a corporate transactional attorney with Skaja & Daniels, LLP. His practice focuses on corporate formation and maintenance, complex contract drafting and negotiation, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, trademark registration, securities regulation, private placements, and asset protection planning. Dominic earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and his B.A. in Society, Ethics, and Human Behavior with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Washington. During law school, Dominic worked closely with the local veteran community where he provided pro bono legal services to veterans seeking VA benefits, discharge upgrades, and education funding.

 

Dominic has a diverse portfolio of clients, including medical offices, entertainment production companies, financial lending institutions, action sports companies, real estate investors, developers, and private equity-backed emerging companies. He has provided them with expert advice throughout his career, combining legal expertise with business acumen to assist clients in reaching their personal, professional, and financial goals. Dominic is an active member in good standing with the California State Bar, the California Lawyers Association, Business Law Section, the San Diego County Bar Association, North County Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association, San Diego Chapter.

When Dominic is not hard at work, you can find him at the beach, camping in the mountains, cheering on the Padres, or at home spending time with his friends and family.
